J7W Shinden

The second aircraft I have drawn and I have to say I think I found an interesting one! The Japanese J7W Shinden was a last ditch attempt to stop the allied advances toward japan. Only 2 were of these experimental planes were produced before the wars end and as far as anyone can tell they never got any combat flight time. They were designed to eventually replace their propellers with jet engines when those became available in large enough quantities. I love the air frame design in this aircraft and I think that, had the Japanese actually produced enough to deploy, their maneuverability and all cannon armament would have have caused serious problems for the allies.
